Caraway mountain park

Established in 1878 by Gustaw Rekittke, a well-known interior decorator. The park is located just by the hotel. The two monuments were erected there: a monument of 1923 commemorating residents of Morąg who died in World War I, situated in the middle of the main avenue of the park and a monument devoted to members of a shooting guild who also died during World War I. A stone slab with an inscription dedicated to the founder of the park was placed in the park.

Teutonic Knights’ Castle

The castle was built by Teutonic Knights in the second half of the 14th century. Later, members of the well-known Prussian Dohna family resided in the castle. When the county office was moved to a different place, the castle started to fall into decline. In 1815, the castle was pulled down and only one wing was left, but later a second one was added. Like every castle, it has a legend. Reportedly, the ghost of 14-year-old Barbara Schwann appears in it, who was beheaded in 1749 for infanticide.

Gothic parish church

The St Apostle Peter and Paul Gothic parish church dates from the beginning of the 14th century. Inside this early-Gothic basilica-type temple, there are mainly baroque and rococo furnishings. In the 20th century, a late-Gothic polychrome was discovered during renovation works. You can also see here a wooden Gothic crucifix from the 14th century, Dohna's epitaphs and sculpted organs from 1705.
